The Woodside Village Church is a community church that has been serving God since 1893. We support the proclamation of the Gospel, the celebration of the sacraments, and the education of the Christian faith and its values. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, we invite you to consider whether Christ is calling you to pledge your presence, your prayers, and your resources here.
During Lent we will be taking a journey through Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life. Beginning Sunday, February 19th our Sunday worship theme will focus on one of God's purposes for our lives: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism (Reaching out!). On Tuesday evenings, beginning February 28th, we will gather as a congregation for a simple supper @ 6:30 p.m. and a comprehensive study of the previous Sunday's worship theme.
The weekly small group is the heart of The Purpose Driven Life. These lessons harmonize with the Sunday messages and the daily readings. These groups are vital because we best grow spiritually, when we are in community.
We hope you will join us in this important church wide Lenten journey. Please sign up in the narthex or the church office so we can order your individualized material. The cost of $15.00 is minimal for what you will experience and includes the cost of a book, a memory verse key ring and tags, and handouts.
NOTE: Everyone is invited to the Simple Suppers on Tuesdays nights whether or not you stay for The Purpose Driven Life Series. There are scholarships available for those that are unable to purchase the books. Please contact the office for more information.
